Treadmill Repair Cost Guide: What to Expect in Toronto & the GTA

One of the most common questions we get before a technician even arrives is simple: how much is this going to cost? Here's a realistic breakdown of what the most common treadmill repairs run in the GTA, and how to think about the repair-versus-replace decision.

    Diagnostic visit and first-visit repair

Our flat rate for a first visit — travel, full diagnostic, and any repair completed on the spot — is $115. There's no separate call-out fee on top of that, and it's a flat rate regardless of how long the diagnostic and repair take.

Most straightforward issues (belt tension, deck lubrication, minor console resets) are resolved entirely in this first visit.

When parts need to be ordered

If a repair needs a part that isn't carried on the van — a specific motor controller or a console board for an older model, for example — we schedule a second visit to install it once the part arrives. That second visit runs $80-$100 depending on the part and installation complexity, and we guarantee a maximum of two visits to get your equipment working, with a third visit free if it's ever needed.

Common belt replacements typically land in the $200-$350 range including parts and labour. Motor repairs or motor controller replacements usually run $250-$500 depending on the brand and whether it's a home or commercial-grade motor.

When repair no longer makes sense

As a rule of thumb: if a repair estimate is approaching half the cost of a comparable new machine, and the treadmill is already 8-10+ years old, replacement is often the better long-term value. We'll always give you that assessment honestly rather than pushing a repair that doesn't make financial sense — our reputation depends on customers trusting that recommendation.

That said, most of the repairs we do — belts, motor brushes, consoles, resistance motors — cost a fraction of a replacement and can add years of useful life to equipment that's otherwise in good shape.
